Southdown Babydoll Sheep Meet Our Babydolls. These sheep are as sweet as their smiley faces. Originating in the South Down (hills) of Sussex County, England, this lovely breed was brought over to the US in the 1800s. This miniature breeds packs a big punch despite their smaller size with cashmere quality wool production, organic weed control and lawn mowers, as well as barnyard companions and adorably, sweet pets. Wool Products Our Gals: Eloise, Christmas, Clementine, Sweet Pea, and Candace. Our Guys: Wooly Nelson (the sire for lambs who were born in the Spring of 2023 and 2024), Rusty, Neo, Apollo, Skipper, Dexter, and Clay. We adopted our first herd of 4 ewes in the winter of 2021. We excitedly have their wool for various products for sale in our shop located in The Rancher’s Wife in downtown Berthoud, CO. We had the opportunity to add the sweetest spring ram (Wooly) to our flock in early summer of 2022 and put him in with the ladies for the first time November of 2022. Christmas gave birth to a healthy little ram who we named Skipper in April of 2023 and Eloise had a lovely little ewe named Sally born in May of 2023. He has now sired two more adorable rams, Dexter and Clay, in the spring of 2024. They are available for adoption on our “Available Sheep” page.Wanting to add a sweet Babydoll lamb to your farm?
